How long did you run Vista for ? Been using it from day one. It's actually better than XP. No more speed/performance/driver issues anymore. Cant see why people are so stubborn for change. If its a cost thing and you are not prepared to setup your PC from scratch just say so. Thats your prob, not the OS;)

Tried Vista, was so unstable. But Windows 7 (aka VistaSP2) is not bad at all, big improvement.

Avast 4.8
Spybot 1.6

Firefox 3
Adobe Reader Lite

Alcohol 52%
Nero Lite
PhotoFiltre

PHPEditor
Fireworks CS3
Photoshop CS3
Dreamweaver CS3

Used it for about 2 months. Sidebar was faulty, internet unstable, folder views changing randomly, random system hangs, etc. And that's excluding driver issues and program compatibility.

I'm not keen on arguing with Vista fanboys - that's just what I experienced with it.

No more speed issues? Sure, it runs ok. Good enough. But it doesn't exactly fly.

Who said IRG was a fanboy?

He's decided to use Vista - let him. I use OS X, but insubstantiated Vista bashing is baseless in my opinion anyway - it works. Calling Win7 Vista SP2 demonstrates ignorance.

Oh, and:

Dock:
Linux: Avant Window Navigator or Cairo
Windows: RocketDock

I didn't call him a fanboy, just said not interested in arguing with them (like some older posts here). I didn't call Win7 Vista SP2 - I said it's also known (maybe I should have said in some circles) as Vista SP2. And I didn't bash Vista, just described the actual issues I had.

Nuff said.

OS: Vista Ultimate 64 bit
Office: Office 2007
P2P: alt.binz and utorrent
Misc: Nero 9, Firefox 3, K-lite codec pack for movies etc, PSI Jabber for IM

I'm going to start pimping Yahoo Informer. It's the best dock app nobody knows about.

Looks good... Will give it a try and let you know how I find it compared to RocketDock and ObjectDock

well those are good but Informer is a lot more powerful and broad than a normal dock. It isn't so flashy but I actually like the fact that it's so discreet on the desktop.
