won't be a 18650, as the iron diameter is only 16.5mmThese portable soldering irons are going for R120 at the moment (orange and grey). Added one to my last order. Wonder if they have an 18650 battery inside that can be replaced when it eventually dies.

So order came. The red lifter screws/bolts is a bit to big to sit flush with the plate. The slot to access the allen head to raise or lower is a bit out. Luckily it is aluminium, so easy to fix. Will build a proof of concept table (to test).
My Makita hand router fits nicely in the lift.
So after takings the pics, the solution will be to drill new holes using my drill press and cutting some threads with tap and die set.
Order was placed on 30 June, R1339. Tax was R145. Delivery was this morning. Highlight of the order was this showerhead - rumour has it that they use those in Nkandla. For what it's worth - my wife placed a Shein order, mostly clothing to the tune of about R1300 last week. She got the tax payment notification today, R150. This might still be flying under the radar.
I see these were ranging from R160 and up - R120 I think might be lowest I've seen them. Might have to add to cartThese portable soldering irons are going for R120 at the moment (orange and grey). wow - that is super quick. I wonder if Shein has local inventory warehouse here ?Bought from Shein on the 26th, paid tax/vat/duties on the 28th, package delivered on the 1st.
Approximately R2600, with vat of R450. Mostly clothes.
They keep adding new stores and products. For many stuff,I see there are about the same price as in SA.Haha. That's good then!

Mind posting a pic of the tip it uses? Was also looking at them.I got one of these from an earlier post in this thread and it's really good value for the price. Used it a few times and don't have any complaints.
I tried finding replacement tips for it but haven't found anything yet which makes me wonder if these will last long term or if they just expect you to buy a new one once it's done.

Same, anything from 6 to 21 days wait in my experience. I'm patient though. Can't believe the amount of money TEMU has extracted from me so far, probably about 100+ items. I'd say about 70% is stuff I actually needed and 30% because it's cheap, so why not.I am waiting on an order to be delivered
