I paid R150 for it, but in reality even at over 300 bucks it's fine. It's made of metal, is reasonably thick and fits together rather well.

They're very good with returns. They'll either arrange for it to be collected or you can drop it off at any number of collection points. They may even let you keep the items with a full refund but, given the value of the items, I think it's unlikely.

only need to return the one item thats for the iphone - if they pass me a credit i can pay the difference to order the samsung based item that i need - but only the one item needs to be returned which is under R200 anyway - besides i don't have any apple products so even if they tell me to keep it i will have to give it away to someone (my sister has an apple phone but she already has a wireless charger for it so i might have to pass it on to my nephew but i would prefer if they collect it since i would not like to keep an item i haven't paid for)

Log the return, roll the dice, and see what happens. It's a photo and a couple of clicks.

EDIT - temu credit is a lot faster than a bank reimbursement.
 
I gave TEMU a chance again and ordered some stuff and some clothing items as well to see how the quality, size, and fit is going to be.

I have 2 orders that are being delivered by DPD Laser and they seem to be stuck somewhere. Tracking just says "ön its way to destination" but hasnt been updated since 05/06/2025

Should I try out a couple of items of clothing from temu or not really? I know the quality of clothes won't match what you see on pictures but there are some real bargains. And if I decide to buy clothes, what sizes should I pick? Same sizes as the clothes I buy here locally or larger?

Hard to say. I've ordered some items, most were fine, others were not properly sized. Quality was good.

Check reviews, especially photos, to get a better idea. Also check the size guide, that helps a lot.

I've bought some clothes from Shein a couple of years ago. Like 3 of the same shirt but in different colours. All 3 had the exact same size label but none of them were actually the same size. One was too small and one was too large haha.

Quality was good though and I'm still wearing them today. Even the one that's too small. I'm fit so I can get away with it :)

I guess temu clothes are the same.

Looking for something wearable to record conversation for proof like at office or police, traffic cops etc and also driving rental car or putting it in a car if someone breaks in so I can see who it was. Also at home to put in my room as I live in shared house in case someone steals something I have proof. Something small and flexible if the need arises to record audio and video.

Temu does sell small cheap cameras but short battery life or bad quality defeats the purpose.
 
Battery life is normally the problem, but can be overcome if you have space for a power bank

Tell me about it. I have some as well. And I decided they must be clear so you can see wtf is inside the Temu treasure box. I swear I could open up a china shop, well, almost.
I have bought some home run items and then some of the most random kak one can imagine. Stuff you have never even seen before, but convince yourself you cannot live without it.

I am too scared to have a look at my total order values.
 
Anyone had any of their orders sent via ship? My 2 latest orders have the status 'Marine Departure" Its all small items and now I must wait for it to be sent by ship!
