Your temu orders

Yeah and few times, but it doesn't always mean ship
 
I've got two orders apparently coming today via SpeedAF that The Courier Guy doesn't seem to be involved in.

Has anyone else had the situation where you order two of the same item (setting qty to 2) and then having this split up into two separate orders with the courier?

I was so confused. I got the normal notification to pay duties which I paid a couple days ago but I kept getting notifications that I needed to pay which I thought was just a delay due to the long weekend. After looking closer this morning after getting another notification there are two identical payments I need to make which are separate.

Maybe this is more of a FYI if this happens to you to double check this.

It was also the most expensive duties I've had to pay yet. It was R205 on each item which is a R1270 item which is a storage container for hard drives (classified as "HOUSEHOLD STORAGE BOX" on the duties form).

Yes, I suspect so. Was still confusing though as the Temu notification emails looked almost identical and didn't arrive at the same time so it just looked like a notification reminder for the same thing.

I had the reverse the other day - 2 orders combined into one tracking number

That's only 16% duties, most orders get charged around 20% so that's a win?

They're very good with returns. They'll either arrange for it to be collected or you can drop it off at any number of collection points. They may even let you keep the items with a full refund but, given the value of the items, I think it's unlikely.

so the order arrived and i logged the return and they said i can keep the item but they refunding the value back to the credit card - so i will look for a relative with an iphone and give them the 3 in 1 wireless charger as a gift

in the meantime i found the following items for my next order :

and i also got a USB C to USB C PD capable quick charging cable - not gonna link it cos it was only R23 bucks which is generally the tip for a regular food order nowadays

one last disappointing point about my first order was that the frosted case that i was after was the green - but i hadn't clicked on the green and it defaulted to black but it had red side and volume buttons which make it look cheapish which is no surprise ie it was only R71 but i got the better looking flip wallet case with detachable slim magnetic cover in the second order so its still all good and the plan is still coming together, besides it could have been worse ie they could have sent a pink one instead 😉 ..... Oh wait ....... Tablet stand said it was carbon steel and while some of it was steely in texture most of it was just regular old plastic :( again something i can live with for a R250 item

New order expected to arrive between 22nd June and 4th July so around R800 worth of purchases (not including duties and taxes) over 2 orders to add some utility to how my phone works :thumbsup:

My steel tablet stand as steel :) and it was only R100 something you need to double check reviews when ordering.
