Your temu orders

Have you not visited cash converters lately. They also sell cheap no name Chinese stuff new.
I am talking about getting things for free. Swap one cheap item for another. No cash. Or even donate it.
You mean barter system. Problem is setting ego aside to decide if my cr*p X is worth your cr*p Y.

You can always donate it as PIF on carbonite or here I think.

WTF!

I've had two packages delivered without issues already, and now this!

Did they hire someone new or was this an honest mistake, I wonder.

I still got two more packages on the way, they better sort their logistics properly.

Just got my package literally now. Didn't know these guys deliver this late. I am so tired and was about to go to bed when the phone rang and he said he was outside.

Have you ever used temu? Do you know how cheap it is?

Items new cost less than it cost to deliver or petrol to pickup. Now add it being 2nd hand and unwanted, so it has some flaw. There is no way you can advertise it for free when pickup and delivery cost from your home to a person on carbonite or internet is higher than the price new.

Every person has too few for a garage sale and the stuff is too cheap to sell to a 3rd party. To sell directly something for R5 is not worth the time and effort. The result is the stuff goes into dustbin or you donate it with your old clothes to charity.

Temu themselves could take returns and keep in a local SA warehouse. But they don't. The item is not even worth the pickup cost. The items are too cheap so they basically tell you to throw it away.

Buffalo are sneaky. I ordered two orders a day apart and they are delivered in the same package.

Now I have done two orders 3 days apart and the one arrived in SA 3 days before the other. So I will see if they are delivered at the same time

These drivers are struggling to keep up right now, they outsourcing where possible.

I see mine is in cpt warehouse, lets see which courier comes tomorow :)

Instead of the usual endless searching and clicking, the app is littered with games of chance. You can buy things together with your friends in a kind of virtual shopping club, and everything is hyped with surprise discounts and gimmicks lifted straight from a casino’s playbook.
Nothing like a casino. They have some clickbait ads that mimic when you join and for your first few orders but most people then don't get itl That initial spin wheel is an ad and gives everyone off the same discount. No game of chance.

Rather they reduce and increase prices slightly and have multiple vendors sell the item so that people think something is on sales where you save a few rand. I find this irritating \and adds no value as it forces you to search multiple vendors selling the same things. They sell cheap Chinese stuff that in the past you have to buy locally at 10X the price. That is why people are buying there. Initially it looks like a gimmick but once you see the pattern it isn't much. They are designed to get as many customers as possible. They cut out the expensive SA middleman and save the consumer so much money rather than buying the same Chinese stuff locally. All the major stores that have cheap small item sections where they sell cheap Chinese goods at high markup will now be forced to focus on their core business. This is a good thing. It will force retailers to make aisle space for locally produced stuff rather than middleman chinese goods because shoppers won't buy those stuff as much.

Instead of buying the same small low worth items for around R200-R500 locally I will buy them from Temu for R10 to R100. If that is a dopamine hit so be it. We all have been buying CHinese item in the past we just didn't know it. We all went looking for bargain in shipping aisles for interesting gadgets and buying it. We have just been awaken by Temu by what these gadgets really cost.

Yup I told my wife that the wheel will always miss one and give you another chance and that the voucher isn't one but multiples.
But it yeah you're correct it does show us the real prices and we've been paying three times as much

Sure you ordered a 3 pack?

Request a refund
You clicked the link? It clearly states it is a 3-pair item. I did ask for a refund, but the bottom line is all the effort and trouble, waiting time etc. just to get the wrong item puts me off.

Double check it's the same item you actually ordered, there are plenty of other "shops" selling the same things some come in 3s some come in singles. Also you paid R39 and possibly 6 bucks in taxes for it
