Your temu orders

let us know how you like the battery powered security cam please?
Mines just arrived and it's actually awesome. Can't vouch for battery life on solar only as yet, but otherwise great.

Planning on getting a couple after proper batt life test while overcast.

a review would be super nice!
Can the battery be replaced? 18650?
Did it come with a mini solar panel?

5th order placed, some garden ornaments so total was like R350 will see

My first order arrived today, not too bad of a turnaround time from China … I was very surprised to discover that the parcels are transferred by flight, I thought they packed them on a slow container ship lol.

Let’s put this straight: it’s cheap, and you get what you pay for. This is NOT one of those “gee how did they get so much quality into something that cheap?”

I’m kind of a product snob so it’s hard for me to be objective here, but I’m not unhappy with the experience. Everything works, which is remarkable enough at that price point.

I got a rechargeable LED torch for R33, for crying out loud. Should I be surprised it’s entirely plastic? The thing even has three modes (bright, dim and flashing) AND you can zoom the head to make the beam cast wider or narrower. Is it gonna blind anyone on the moon? Hell no.

The drone … flies. It didn’t come with the three AA batteries required for the controller. The app it needs is in the Apple App Store, and immediately connected when I got my phone to join the WiFi network. The camera feed to the phone is pretty clear and responsive. I flew it a bit, crashed it a lot, and blamed the crashes on the cheap drone’s instability. Of course I did.

The fast wireless charger charges my iPhone and Apple Watch wirelessly, and has a jack for my wireless earphones too. Will see if I am happy with it after a few nights of use.

The projector thing works. And has a remote. And six colours. And … all that for R88. It’s not great for me but my step-son loves it and fell asleep with it going. Money well spent.

The humidifier I haven’t gotten around to yet.

So ja, I have another parcel with 15 items coming, should be here next week I’m guessing. That was a whole different range of items, from hoodies to kitchen gadgets … will moderate my expectations.

The biggest issue I have with Temu is there don’t seem to be any well-known brands on there, or none that I can recognise anyway. But I gotta salute the business model that can deliver cheap stuff all over the world and it’s still cheap when it gets there.

I got that torch as well.

They also sell UV torches for less than R100.
Handy if you want to find Scorpions in the yard. You’ll also be very surprised at some of the things you find in your house.

Would you both say that the torch is bright enough? I have it in my cart and am buying it next after receiving my next two packages.

BC-03W-K Camera

States it has a 2 x 18650 but on the picture it states 5000mah lithium polymer so not sure only @petum can confirm.
As mentioned, very impressed with build quality. Cameras solid with rubber seal for micro USB cable to solar panel. Camera definition is better than expected, HD, with a siren, microphone and flash light. The night vision is so far very impressive. It uses the o-Kam pro app which is responsive, user friendly and Presumably suitable for a couple cameras. Connecting to wifi was easy. Panel is somewhat smaller than expected with a Matt finish but also good quality. Can't see any battery info without opening it up. Performance of solar panel is still tbc but it's day 3 running on battery alone which is adequate for most I guess. The cam goes into a sleep mode when not powered awoken by movement etc. Havnt really had chance to test the motion detection and Human ID yet. Was hoping to integrate with home assistant if anyone can advise.

All round a winner. Will be interesting to see panels performance but don't imagine it being an issue.

Model BC-03W-K

The app and it's adverts is painful.

First time ordering from Temu, mainly clothing for the wife. Of the 8 items, one was not correct. Will I order again from Temu? I do not know.

It is cheap but what you get is also get the quality that match what you pay for.
