What did you do and what was Temus response?

the whole wheel of velcro is cool

cut small pieces as you go

the nose and ear trimmer i bought ..damn poor quality
As long as it only trims the hair and not the ears or nose :-P. Those Velcro straps are cool, I also got a separate wrist thing for keyboards (was like R19) but on Takealot the one I bought a few years ago was R130, almost the same not quite but almost :-).

Was only disappointed that my package was packed into a generic white bag instead of the infamous orange Temu bag :D

I ordered 10 things totalling R500 with R60 tax, and it arrived a day before their first range estimate.

No clothes or large things, but I'm satisfied.
Got some of those door/window anti-slam circles for far cheaper but I'll admit they're thinner and slightly softer than the ones we have, but it's more than enough.

A few kitchen accessories, plastic that's solid and a backsplash water catcher that you can actually get in a few nice colours (mostly grey on Amazon and here, 3x the price.)

Got a few miscellaneous cables, all great but I'm especially surprised with:

Scored it for R62, it's really high quality, has that funny ""100w"" chip in green encased in plastic, and the lightning end is really MFi chipped, perhaps not officially but no warnings. This will work nicely in the car for charging any device.

It'll be a while before I order again, but choosing stuff carefully and double checking what we have locally is a good practice. There's more 'branded' stuff on Shein I see, but I'm sorted for now.

Anyway, just letting it be for now.

That hopefully means that your parcel has not been lost. Yet.

If anything I would avoid products which make contact with food when it comes to Temu or similar. One doesn't know the safety standards of the plastics or PVC used in the manufacturing. But other things should be fine.

For instance I bought these:

They seem to be identical to the Black and Dekker original parts.

Do you guys think Temu is penalizing Buffalo or its third party couriers for all the late deliveries or lost/stolen packages?

I don't think the % of off spec orders is very high - probably less than 3% (just guessing)

Well this should be interesting, Fastaway delivered today - breakable items - I wasn't home, so he asked if he could throw it over the gate (2m) - I said no, rather slide it under (aobut 30cm clearance) , which he said he'd do - I have him on camera throwing the parcel over the gate.

Second order arrived. R 900 paid on the 10th, R 110 tax on the 16th, delivered 22nd. R 33 in price adjustment credit so far.

Pleased with my little mountain of junk. The thermal printer is pretty cool for < R 200 and I'm impressed with the bed brackets - nice and heavy duty. But they were R 170 for 4. I think you pay a premium for weight on Temu, which makes sense, it's going air freight. So for heavier/bulkier stuff it's not going to be cheaper than stuff sold locally that came off a ship... assuming you can find the product locally.

The little night lights for ~R 30 are great. You get 8 LEDs, a little 200 mAh pouch cell and charging circuit, and they even throw in a cute little 15 cm USB cable. Literally any one part of this could go for R 30. Mine has internal moulding for a 14500 cell which would be a nice upgrade. I recommend the switched ones not the "induction" (PIR sensor) versions because the latter only stay on ~10 seconds so it goes dark mid pee.

Being able to open the gate remotely comes in handy for these moments.
