Paid R122 on an order of R629 now, so 19.5%.
R460 of that order is clothes.

Anyone noticed Temu does a lot of adhesive tapes, double-sided tapes especially and generally every little gadget that needs mounting comes with tape. Of course it's cheaper but maybe there's another reason.

Target market doesn't own drills or screwdrivers perhaps. European renters? IMO mounting with tape makes more mess than a hole though.

Yeah see that as well, lots and lots of double sided but there are screw holes as well

I paid 38% on last order and hardly any of it was clothing item (which apparently attracts most duty).

Something is seriously wrong somewhere.

I waited for my delivery on the 30th. Missed them, but they never hooted at the gate or phoned.

They rescheduled delivery on the 7th, but it was delivered not by Buffalo, but Dawn Wing Anyone else have their stuff delivered by Dawn Wing or another courier?

Was my address in Cape Town southern suburbs just too far out from their warehouse and so got another courier to deliver, or do they do this?

yes ,my first order a fully independent woman that contracts to quite a few of the courier's ,but i am around 15 km from town .

anything of a textile nature can attract more duties it depends on the description and what the scanning machine reads it as and lists it as .no human intervention unless youve been flagged or the machine cant decipher your order ,its referred to as framing ,all AI based

yes, got this one yesterday (camera+solar panel).
Seems quite good quality, uses O-KAM app and also has O-KAM windows software, but haven't been able to get it to work with iSpy or other phone apps. Tested solar panel and can supply 0.6W at 5V

The other one that I ordered will probably be delivered tomorrow - comes without solar panel

also if you look on your customs sheet it will tell you the name of each item that cleared and the quantity, description can be funky ie a carburettor bowl may clear as a honey pot .
