How sure are you that the Temu ones aren't replicas?

How sure are we that the Takealot ones aren't ;-). Considering the Engrish on the pictures
They very well could be considering it’s a 3rd party seller but the question was are the ones you got from Temu for R120 genuine?

Asus is notoriously bad with that kind of thing outside of PC hardware, so I’m pretty sure those are legit.

They probably used the same moulds but swapped out the drivers and batteries and whatever else to cut the price.

No idea, but it came in a really nice box, with a thank you from Asus, with all the stuff, manual and and. It very may well but but it switches to game mode, sounds decent and looks original. I'm not really going to risk R1299 from Takealot to test.

Yup cause apparently it's Race Car designed :-P but true their English isn't good on most things.

Who knows, doing a google search, the only suppliers seem to be Chinese ones, so I'm pretty sure the 3rd party seller on Takealot is just getting them from there.

Do you guys know when the tax stuff comes into effect? I bought stuff that I see shipped today.

But it's so convincing:

"The light of faith, the soul of burning electricity! Cooperate with the earphone lighting effect to create an exclusive e-sports atmosphere!"

Clothing only and the tax has always been in effect, all they wanted to change is how sub R500 was taxed, if it comes into play as some users have had it already done.

Yup you'd think the reseller wouldn't put those delicious engrish up

You will get an e-mail (also a message on app) from Temu entitled Your Temu package cannot be delivered and will then have to pay the customs and VAT to whomever the link in the e-mail points to, either https://index.buffaloex.com (Buffalo) or https://acspay.co.za (FastWay).
If you are a front end dev making your debut at online shopping...

Once you get the courier email, go directly to Temu's website or the app, and click on the link there to pay. Use a virtual creditcard.
