Your temu orders

Is Fastway that slow? Placed order on 30th and after 5th August, everyday there is message

"Onboard - the parcel is onboard the Courier vehicle."
and
"The parcel has been left in the South Bay 3 and will be delivered on the next scheduled delivery." and

It was picked up on 5th August from ORT. China could deliver it all the way here in 6 days.

I think it depends where it goes. It always takes a min of 20 days if temu assigns fastway for my orders. If it's buffalo or speedaf it's delivered between 8-14 days.

Why temu, why?

and then I open a new tab and it's temu again, but making more sense:

Grief... who the heck are these speedaf / meili guys? Ripoff of note. R376 duty and VAT on an order of R629.
Just going to let it lapse and claim from Temu out of principle. Bugger that.
I've had them before and the duties were normal, what was in the order, clothes?
Won't you lose your order funds if duties aren't paid, have you done that before successfully?

aren't the orders only shipped AFTER duties have been paid? so not shipped if no duties paid?
True but there may be still internal shipping / processing cost so in case of refund, they have to deduct something. It will be silly to allow for full refund. Too many scamsters around.

Don't we get email link to pay once it reaches airport in China ? I could be wrong though.

The duty request is only made once the order has shipped and not paying duties doesn't hold it up until it reaches the destination hub in South Africa.

Well Temu does do returns for defective goods or change of heart with just a few words and a photo as evidence and then typically does a full refund without the customer needing to return anything. I’m assuming they pass the buck onto the seller but whatever the case is they aren't too concerned over refunding orders.

Completed farm land hoping I only claim when I am ready. But it immediately has a 7 day countdown to claim before it expires. Thereafter valid for 3 days. Now only 4 days left to claim. If I ignore it will I still be able to claim or lose everything?
I only wanted to claim when the item I wanted came back in stock. Oh well.
