A friend whose Temu order disappeared got a refund of the duty
I was about to ask about the customs.

I guess if you pay by card you can log a dispute.

It would appear that it's actually an advantage to pay something on ClaimCredit orders, I just got a duties invoice of R210 for a R2600 ClaimCredit order where I paid in R850 in because I didn't have enough credit. I experienced something similar on an earlier ClaimCredit order.

Got 6 of these for the kids school water bottles. They fsck them bottles up good and proper. Checked the underside of one of them the other day. Looks like he used it as a hammer. These work very nicely.

Amazing. That is a problem I am very familiar with and might add one of these to the next order. Thanks for sharing!

Ordering a higher value order greater than 1000 brings duties lower

No I think he meant it as a question. He missed the point that it seems like duties are only charged on what you paid, excluding the claimcredit
Yes that's the point I was trying to make.

I have not ordered from temu in a long time. Did some processes change at temu ? I recall clearing almost starting before the parcel arrives instead of the other way around

If i lost my number that I used to receive parcels, how to change my number since the parcel info cannot be changed now as delivery is now confirmed. Gfs express

I have two credit back orders on the way. Looks like they've been combined. Total order value (before credits) is R2950. Taxes was R258. I'll take that.

And then I get R3400 in credit back. Delicious. Temu is lekka.

Received my cc statement this morning ... 6.5K on Temu and taxes in the last month.. I have ignored the 5 days of credit back offering of R2400 or so, it dropped to R1640 and up again to R2400. Credit balance touch under 4K. I can buy more stuff. For almost free. But the customs keep adding up. Need to find something that would be a hit on Bobshop. Pity the raspberry Pi 5's have been sold out.

I have been charged duties 50% of 600 order, before but now i less than 20% for 1000 order
Duties are random and also depend on what's in the order, I've never paid much more than 20% on my orders no matter the value but I never order clothing.

That that R6.5k spend what have you earned back in credit?

Ah, did not pick up on that. Seems to be a buffalo feature. Skynet is taking their time on this one..
Buffalo still seems the best, the others have always been subpar for me. Skynet has probably been the 2nd best. GFS is the worst. Out for delivery for a week at a time.

I earned R9980 credit back in the window of 30 days. Spent R6889 of the credit back. When they moved me from the R800/R1200 bracket to the R1600/R2400 bracket initially I decided to use the credit card for some big orders (aprox R2000+R2400) since I did not want to pass the opportunity. Note that from the 6.5K spend over R1800 went to the customs and taxes. I had a nice spreadsheet that was on a Samsung 870 ssd that failed this weekend a week over 5 year warranty, don't have access to the recovery at the moment.

For the smaller orders I always applied partial credit and maybe R120-R200 from the credit card.

Same experience, and that big order sitting at Fastway - it has been in Durban since Tuesday and I foolishly thought that they would have it delivered yesterday. Still not out for delivery.
