Your temu orders

My R1000 order is with Fastway but didn't get a customs invoice. I was expecting a customs invoice, but when I track it with fastway they say customs payment received and cleared and it's at Fastway sorting centre.

I never got an invoice and didn't pay any customs for this order.

Okay I see on Temu it shows the total as R1015 VAT and Duties included

Yes. Temu have changed this recently to include customs and shipping in the retail price.
Which makes the ClaimCredit type deals even more outrageously good, beforehand each R2.4k+ "free" order was still attracting R500 in import duties/fees.

Can someone explain this "ClaimCredit" deals to me? I've been given an offer for R1600 credit, presumably already qualified to R1560 - I just need R40!! (Queue Temu Fireworks <TM>).

But then the T&Cs say 1.2% of order value + R5 for first order. Do I read that correctly that I need to make an order of R35/1.2*100 = R2916.67 to "unlock" this R1600 credit? Or will there be other hoops to jump through as well?

Yes, you get the basic jist of it. Trick is to place the smallest possible order as a first order. Let's say R200 - that gets you R2 plus the R5 first order bonus. You'll then be offered 1.8% for a short period on a second order. You'll need another R33 at 1.8%, which is R1833. In total you'll spend R2033 and get R1600 back.

Edit: this is wincredit, not claimcredit

Rav4 only had one set of keys so I ordered 2 sets of "KEY-DIY" keys from a local site.

Went to get them cut and coded but the drivers door remote lock stopped working a few months ago so the guy said he couldn't program the remote locking on the keys cause the procedure requires the door actuator to work.

I was like "Ok I'll take it apart and try and fix it" and he told me that's impossible because the units are sealed. He said I would pay between 3000 and 4000 rand for a new door actuator.

Went on Temu.

It's arriving hopefully this week so I'll let you know but holy crap that's next level amazing!

Also, the locksmith charged 450 rand per transponder chip cause my keys didn't have chips. Checked on Temu they are between 20 and 30 bucks.

Insanity.

So after massive delay thanks to GFS Express it finally arrived yesterday.

Took off the door panel and long story short, the new actuator works fine but the problem was actually an aftermarket immobilizer locking control box thingy which was connected to the actuator.

So I disconnected the immobilizer box and am returning the actuator.

I had a chat to the delivery guy when he brought my order last week. He only does a few suburbs here in Pretoria but is delivering upwards of a hundred packages per day in his small delivery area. Temu is pumping, guys!

Bought two fake memory cards on Temu. I just amazed by how many sales they have. I guess it is worthwhile for those sellers to sell them as very few people verify the actual size.

What do you mean by fake? They aren't memory cards? They aren't the advertised size/speed?

Slow, small sized device is modified on Firmware level to report larger space. Speed is also not what is on label.
e.g.
You will get 8GB drive advertised as 512GB.
Problem thought is that windows see it as 512GB and when you write it to you don't realize you are losing data which makes it worse as it won't tell you it is full, just overwrite data. So as backup device you basically lose your backups and only realize it when you want to get it back.

I looked at so my reviews on these cheap cards and saw they have high ratings like 4.7 but there are always 1 star ratings reporting them as fake. However somehow Temu still allow them to remain to be bought.
