Your top action movie(s)

My top picks would be Man on Fire, Leon, Ronin, T2 & The Punisher in alphabetical order.

Suppose there are a few others like the last Rambo movie & a few others.

I've always found the 'action' label problematic. There's such a yawning gulf between Man on Fire and The Transporter,for example.

Action movies are purely for the ability to stare at the screen and watch large scale destruction.....

Which basically means the Die Hard franchise and Lethal Weapon fall squarely into my favourites list... as do some war movies like FMJ and Apocolypse Now... even though they technically aren't "action movies"

The Matrix
District 9
LotR The Two Towers
The Dark Knight
Ong Bak
Casino Royale
Oldboy
Enter the Dragon

Some of my favourites. Recently I was very impressed by Edge of Tomorrow and the two Planet of the Apes movies. Guardians of the Galaxy was good, The Avengers as well.

I feel that Sci-Fi movies that contain action is just that....Sci-Fi...not action.

At this rate we will have Westerns named here and even The Sound of Music.
