So I want to know what your work/development PC is like?
Does your company upgrade them often? Or do they refuse perhaps?
What is acceptable/unacceptable?
Some sweet specs.... Just out of interest, what would you develop with that PC?? Web Design, Desktop applications?? What graphics card do you have with that PC?
I do all my stuff on my laptop... although it feels really slow, and a format would do the trick.

Non company, my school laptop. Studying AppDev dev at uni, need the system specs for the android emulators, they are badly optimized.

And GTX960M.
The Lenovo Y5070.
Edit: CamiKaze, your text doesn't look that great on my screen, have you tried using ClearType or do you like it like that?
Anyone here with a UHD monitor? That person should be pronounced the winner
I have the exact same resolution on my laptop.Well, I've got 6x 30" (2560x1600), so technically I have more pixels.![]()
I have the exact same resolution on my laptop.
I'm talking here about 4K resolution 3840 pixels. Then your only really leet if it is running at 60Hz and its an IPS screen
LG are claiming they are building an 8K screen which will get released with the new iMac later this year. That will put you on a totally different level.
Yeah those 5400rpm laptop drives just murder employee happiness levels...I'm impressed at the amount of SSD's.
Yeah in the long run its probably the best. I know some of my peers in the US carry portable secondary screens for their laptops but that seems like more hassle to me.I am just so used to the keyboard + large raised monitor config
Ok you win.Yeah, I know that UHD has 2x the pixels, but I have 6 monitors (all IPS) - 3 wide and 2 high![]()
Ok you win.I don't think anyone on this forum can match you.
PS. Say hello to your neck doctor for me
I so desperately wish we could have BYOD in our office and I would gladly go buy a MacBook out of my own pocket so as not to work on this HP piece of ****.
Even if I have to install Windows on it, that's fine.
