Then you need to go through whatever browser you have. Old phone means few options.

For many years I have been viewing YouTube videos on the App on a variety of (older) Android phones. Suddenly this morning a message pops up saying the App is no longer supported, and I must use youtube.com in my browser (not quite the same experience on a mobile device). The Play Store says nothing about this, and Android 6.0 is still supported (re-installed, same message).
Any ideas when/how this happened? (Upgrading my phone is not an option at present).
Isn't there an option for running a 3rd party ROM on the device? (e.g. LineageOS)For many years I have been viewing YouTube videos on the App on a variety of (older) Android phones. Depending on the exact one there seems to be at least Android 10 available. My phone is a Samsung J5. Still perfectly functional IMO.

You can also get YouTube ReVanced ExtendedSeveral articles (and YT videos) have appeared in the last two weeks. Other than the above suggestions, the most common 'solution' is to delete the App's data and cache each time it stops working. Not ideal, but it is a workaround.
I have also noticed that the Gmail App has issues with authentition on Android 6, from around the same timeframe.
