YouTube road rage attacker arrested

I am interested to hear about the events that lead up to the road rage. We all pity the poor polo driver - perhaps, if the entire story is revealed, he deserved what was coming?

Ag come on, its been revealed. Third party who took the video explained, Porsche was driving recklessly. Did you any attention?

What could he have possibly done to warrant a passenger getting out of a car and beating the schit out of him? Regardless of what he may have done, that sort of uncouth behaviour is not justifiable.

Yeah ... unless the VW driver was the one to start the violence (doesn't appear to be that way from the video), I can't think of a good reason that will allow the Porsche driver to just beat him up and be justified about it. Even if he was saying some insulting things and cutting in front of him in traffic, that's not a good reason to beat someone else up.

Perhaps the Polo driver spat the passenger in the face or threw something that damaged the Cayman?
Spit at a moving car?

I've actually had a Brakpan special try to do this to me, turns out he didn't factor in the wind and only succeeded in getting himself. I laughed, as would anyone if somebody is dumb enough to try spitting at a moving car...

I am not condoning the actions of the Cayman passenger at all. What I am noting is that we've only been fed the sensationalist bits from one side and the video, unfortunately, only shows the aftermath of the events leading up to that.

As Mike Hoxbig partially refers to an area of Gauteng where road rage fights are a weekly occurrence, especially Saturday nights. No reports on that, curiously.

That's the thing. It's wasn't the Porsche driver, it was the PASSENGER. It makes no sense. I also thought it might be a left-hand drive car, but in the article the other guy clearly says it was the passenger.

Is it a Cayman or Panamera? I can't see due to the ultra**** quality of the video, the exhausts would give it away.

Anyway, from the Youboob comments, looks like they got the guy.

Surely both the driver and passenger are guilty? I mean the driver was reckless.

*Update: A previous version of this story incorrectly described the car as a VW Jetta.

And this version still incorrectly describes the driver of the previous incorrectly described car as a Jetta driver.

Haha fantastic, road rage in SA is really getting out of hand, maybe more onlookers taking these types of videos are what is needed after all to help keep things calm since everybody thinks they own the road and are the last word on how everybody else should drive.

Hope this arrogant prick gets hit hard by the law.

Wish there was a way for those cameras to be used for getting fines issued for moving violations...
