YouTube Vanced Battery Usage

YouTube Vanced draining more battery in 20 odd minutes than a game I played for +3 hours? Is it the same case with the official app?

One thing i would recommend is turning off 4G and use 3G and use the official app.

Why would you want to use 3g when using a data intensive video streaming app?

Watching YouTube even 4G barely cuts it in most areas, using 3G would be a total pita. Vanced should be less power hungry than the stock app as it cuts out all ads and has the ability to cut out some other rubbish.

In most areas and mine 4G speeds dont surpass 3G speeds. So if that is the case, switching to 3G will help.

I can get 23 Megabit speeds on 3G which is perfect for 1440p streams on youtube.

Well, you'd need a good 3G router for that or be well positioned at your placed.

You probably live with a 3G tower right outside your bedroom window because from my experience unless you are in a less built up area 3G is always significantly slower than 4G.

I had to use a phone with no 4G a while back and it was such a pita, internet always slowing to a snail pace.

Nevermind no one has time to be constantly monitoring their signal strength/speed and switching 4G on and off.

I have the family package.

That means I pay R110 for 6 people to be able to each use it on 5 different devices.
So, 2 sisters, father, wife, self and daughter all have youtube premium with no issues while you are messing about with 3'rd party apps.

Maybe you can find 5 other people to each pay you R18.40c a month so that it costs you the same?

Lol, the forum ****** can't answer a simple question without bringing on the douche.

I never found those apps when I searched for YouTube alternatives, do they support MicroG/logging in with your Google acc?
