I use Ultra Video Downloader and so far so good but, Doesn't access protected links (links where you have to confirm your age)... Any other ways to achieve this?

Likely Real Player 11 will do it.

WOW - i'm surprised some1 else has used this "Real Player" before... i wonder if they sell stock, this company might make it after all....

Could try FDM Full version has Youtube downloader - Full = Free, just that they call it that, casue there is also a lite version :p

Wow, thanks for the info/update. I was still on FDM 2.1 from long ago and I was looking for a You tube downloader. I used some system to download clips before but cannot remember what it was.

Now I am pleased. Kudo's :D

This doesn't download beyond the "Verify Age" page....

For YouTube videos that ask you to confirm your age, just click on confirm, then copy the video's url and paste it onto this site:

VideoDL.org

After you enter the url there and press enter it will ask if you want to download the file using your browser's download manager i.i FireFox or IE download managers.

It grabs it, but after selecting download, it shows a new blank page but says "done" on status bar without downloading ...here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lf8Sn_glQNg ... maybe if someone can test with his software then let me know which worked!

If you're using firefox, you can download a plugin called Live HTTP Headers. Then, the next time you go on youtube, you just capture the headers and find the direct download link for the flv file. It's a little harder to download videos this way, but at least it works all the time and on any site.

Moyea FLV Downloader...

Or just grab the videos off your browser's cache (easier)
