"Dear Registrar,

Welcome to our Registry Lock Service. As you already know, this service is designed to give your clients peace of mind by adding a security layer at the Registry level to prevent domain names from being hijacked.
Before you initiate the process for this service, kindly review our Terms and Conditions and the associated Fee Schedules. Thereafter, tick on the 'Agree to the Registry Lock Terms and Conditions' checkbox below to continue with the lock or unlock process.
Please do not hesitate to contact [email protected] or [email protected] should you need any assistance with this matter.

Registry Lock Fee Schedules
The Registry will charge an additional fee to the standard domain name registration and/or renewal fee as set out in the Fee Schedules:
ZACR SLDs / gTLDs
Registry Africa
Note that fees and charges may be reviewed and may change from time to time, with due notification to all accredited Registrars. First activation and renewal fees for the Registry Lock Services entitles a Registrar to a maximum of 5 (five) lock and unlock functions per domain name for the activated period; and any unlock requests that exceeds this threshold shall attract a surcharge as illustrated in the aforementioned Schedules per domain name.

Request Log
You can view a list of lock and unlock requests by clicking on the log tab above. There are a number of filters available in addition to search and the list can also be exported to various formats. Please note that the real-time lock status for a domain will not be displayed on this log."

There are already a few comments about this (expensive) “security feature”
