One has to ask where the heck does the ANC find all these useless Ministers? There seems to be an endless supply of incompetent individuals within their ranks. And the difficulty between them is that the one is more useless than the other, birds of a feather flock together and how can they see themselves for who they are.
Someone should sue Ivy for gross incompetence and make her personally accountable for the Telecom Mess in our country by attaching her salary and pension which wouldn't be nearly enough to fix the mess within, almost comparable to trying to patch a bleeding Elephant with a Band Aid strip. Pun intended.

This will bring Poison Ivy down to earth especially since she got so full of herself since her face was on the cover of that BEE magazine (forgot the name) a couple of months ago.

Same as always unfortunately... nothing. It is starting to become like groundhog day: once a year ivy comes out of her cave and if she sees her shadow we are in for another year of telecoms misery.

Competence is secondary to the ability to toe the party line and to demonstrate loyalty to the party leadership.

It's not something that's unique to South African politics by any means. What *is* unique, however, is the ability for the incompetent ones to stick around because there isn't the political will to get rid of them...

Good summation.

The thing is, one would expect this sort of thing from the lower echelons, not a Minister.
Other than a Minister, only The President supersedes in controlling powers.
However Party Politicking behind the scenes is likely the final say in the matters at hand.
One could then assume that Madame Poison Ivy is controlled by the ANC (Pty) Ltd and it is in their lap we can lay the blame for the Telecom mess-up that is holding back our Economic Development. See Antitrust's, Poison Ivy, Our Telecoms Destoyer.
