So I barely use zapper. But on Friday i paid for my accommodation
Within my accommodation confirmation a zapper QR pic was there. Which as I scanned it picked up the accommodation establishment correctly

On my banks side(Discovery)it went through on Saturday, but when I was checking out of the accommodation today the hotel showed me their nedbank bank statement and its not showing there.
Does it normally take some time to reflect?
Discovery says it has gone through on their side and should have reflected and they suggest I can do a dispute.

But do I wait ? Do i contact zapper? Or does the accommodation establishment contact zapper?

Show the establishment the payment on your side and leave it to them to sort out, it’s their payment method and hence their issue

If they have a merchant account with zapper then they need to check that statement and not their bank statement.

Last I used zapper as a merchant was years ago but they do not automatically pay out to their bank account and they need to request a payout from what I recall.

Not all merchant services are the same. Some only pay out after a certain amount while others pay out daily, normally at the end of the day.

Also was it their own zapper merchant account or a third party booking website? This will also delay when they receive the funds in their own bank account.

I use Yoco for my online merchant account and if they send me a notification that it's been paid then I process the order even though technically I have not received the funds in my own bank account. It does show on my merchant account and will be paid to new within 48 hours.

Thanks I emailed zapper now and they can confirm the transaction.
It wasn't a third party but directly with the accommodation establishment.
I'll ask them to look on their zapper account and not their bank statement

As @AchmatK said, they need to check Zapper back-office to confirm transaction status.
Zapper can be paid out more frequently, but the default I think is weekly (merchant transaction costs are less).
