Zille at it again

Ya i don't quite see why she can't wait like one should and then she has a chance to respond to Zuma's speech.

It seems to me she just doesn't want to show him any sort of respect. The gloves are off on this one!
I am willing to give him a chance & hope he has success... but not respect... my daughter has more brains than he does... sorry but its true

The WC will be her graveyard.
I like it when you idiots talk 'dirty'... weeehaa

Of course i agree but she has to show some level of respect. He is president and she is not. Whether she likes it or not we have to uphold the etiquette of parliament and how things are done.
Like they have any dignity & etiquette in parliament?
Only chance I agree with you is that all politicians need to stop f*cking around and get on with the job... all of them

Is that a threat, should we take this to the police and have a charged laid against you for attempting to incite murder. Or is this a "we mean what we say and say what we want" thing ?

Fools Inc (TM) :D

Zuma should be in prison, not our president. Give him hell I say :D

65% of the voting public voted ANC. Zille is not disrespecting Zuma and the ANC, but the millions of people who voted them into power. The same people that she hopes will vote for her in the next elections. Is that any way to win over votes?

If anything, what Zille has done so far (first with the mud slinging and now this stunt) is that she's making disgruntled former ANC voters who voted DA a bit more doubtful.

I was well on my way to voting COPE. I changed my mind in the very last minute and voted DA. I am starting to regret that decision. I did not know that I was voting for a child.

And one more thing. It seems on this forum that the DA cannot do wrong. Yet I always see posts that call ANC supporters stupid because of their blind support for the ANC. The hypocrisy is strong with this forum .

Hypocrisy works both ways if that's how you want to see it. The DA does get a revving when it messes up - that just doesn't happen as often as with the dark side (and that was in keeping with your Jedi theme).

But, welcome!

The DA is the TRUTH, LIGHT and Path to Goodness and Honey. Follow it and it will reward you with service delivery, as you request it.

Those idiots who questioned her sanity are starting to sound more & more right. Now really what's with the belligerent tone Ms Zille? She could get on with her work without the need for a state of the province address...

Mind you Zille is attending the government lekgotla which is the platform for the entire country's plan of action. Surely any address she is making should be advised by that national plan?

this bit from Tony Leon is for tim,
In the 1981 election campaign, the National Party minister of health, Dr Lapa Munnik, in the context of a speech on the plight of pensioners, quoted from a study which pointed to the fact that the aged could live on R20 a month. The Rand Daily Mail, to the delight of the opposition, ran a headline the next day which screamed, “Nats say pensioners must survive on R20 a month”. As Beeld recently reminded us, the reporter who wrote it up was Helen Zille. That’s “gotcha’’ politics, where the single line can be twisted and turned to your embarrassment, or even regret.

Zille’s reference to Zuma’s personal history was factually correct but tactically questionable.

I can't believe how quickly people forget. All of a sudden because of something trivial as this, people are against Zille and Zuma is now an angel? Did everyone forget about all his corruption charges, rape case, etc.??? Looks like he is allowed to do what he wants, but just don't let Zille say something bad about the ANC.

If she wasn't the way she is, then the ANC would just do whatever they want.

On the news on KFM just now someone from her office said the president was scheduled originally to give his speech on Wednesday (tomorrow). So Zille's speech would have been AFTER the president's. But the schedule was changed and Zille decided not to reschedule.

And News24 left out this piece of information.

Really, this is a non issue. The ANC are making mountains out of molehills.

Do reporters write the headlines too? It was a very odd paper if they did.

The heading is misleading, its actually.. "the anc at it again"

Her priority is to her voters, and the people who pay her salary. Not to some over inflated anc members and their brown nose reactionaries hehe Look at them kicking up a fuss again over nothing. Since when has parliament in this country had etiquette? lol Thats a good one

didn't see any of you kicking up a storm when the anc threatened to assassinate opposition. Or even when the president said somebody could keep a merc, I know you all disagreed with him, but no word yet from his alliance partners or horde of worshippers

This is a non story.

Exactly. I respectfully ask that all those who have been elected, and who we are paying handsomely, to run the country, roll up their sleeves and get on with it. Enough with the d***n circus!

No she doesn't. The fact that he is president means he has to work even harder to earn respect. So far he is sitting at rock bottom.

Zille won Western Cape. Accept it. Just like I have to accept that the ANC has the rest of this country.
