Zille's tender trouble

Why bother replying to peoples' posts that are off topic? Report it and keep to the topic...

I don't doubt that there were errors made in this process as highlighted in the preliminary report. Now all parties (not political parties) have the opportunity to respond and set the record straight where it needs to be and also indicate where corrective action is required or where it has already been corrected. The deadline for this is the end of May.

Going to be interesting!

I hear you. It will be very interesting to watch...

I'm sorry, I thought it was on topic, my bad.
What I wanted to say was :

DA no FAIL
anc FAIL

Highlighting one selective sentence to fit your agenda is a well known strategy employed by the anc apologists and I thought that making it simple to understand with a visual cue would get through to them that we don't fall for that anymore and that the DA making a small misstep is definitely not comparable to daily deluge of news that shows the extent of the anc failures and corruption.

How many irregularities did Madonsela find in the anc run provinces to date compared to the DA in the cape and how many threats did the DA use to try silence her.

So here I go again, go clean your own massive sty of a house before you go and make a mountain of one dust particle on a mantle in a smaller clean one.

blah blah blah, and you continue being off-topic with your ANC-da rubbish...

"potentially"

Ok potentially, if there is any irregularities they need to be dealt with, but it needs to be determined whether it was maladministration or intentional corruption if that is the case. Very different actions depending on that result.

I have the feeling someone lied or concealed information from Zille, someone she thought she could trust. This in itself is not a good thing.

Yes I was, sorry for that, but not for what I said.

let's wait for the whole report before we denounce the DA and then maybe we can quote more than just what fits our political agendas.

Oops, doesn't that selective quoting make what I said relevant though, because you made it a political, mine is bigger than yours contest, by just highlighting the bit that fit, but I'm probably wrong and off topic again, sorry.

I also think so, which could lead to a "political" reaction whereby an advisor disappears.

One thing we can be assured of is that the DA will fix what went wrong, they know that they are accountable to the voters in their province and not a law unto themselves.

Jip. And pruning is good for a growing tree.

OFF TOPIC !!!!!!! that's about gardening blah blah blah . . . . :)

Sorry, just a bit reactionary and over reacting here, feeling all weak and stuff, my party was implicated in something awful, scandalous and unforgivable and it affected me personally on a physical level. I'm just glad it doesn't happen every day ten times over, I'd be too weak to joke around. ;)

I'm very sure that the DA will sort out any irregularities that emanate from this.

That is what I said on #30

Some political parties do, they don't see themselves as rulers but servants to the people, unlike you know who.

(keeping it cryptic, trying to confuse the ones that can't detect nor differentiate between sarcasm, the truth staring them in the face and a joke) :)

Helen Zille, Leader of the Democratic Alliance
13 May 2012

The purpose of this edition of SA Today is to set out the facts and the context of prominent reports that appeared in various Sunday newspapers suggesting that a communications tender issued by the Western Cape Government was “unlawful” and should be terminated. These reports have understandably caused widespread concern. They are based on a draft report written on behalf of the Public Protector, that was leaked a week before the agreed deadline for us to submit comments to rectify mistakes in the draft.

Our response to the reports on the leaked draft is as follows:

Further details via the link.

Oh no, the DA using the law, logic and facts to explain a misconception, how corrupt, racist and evil of them.

Oops, I was in cadre mode trying to get my head around some posts I couldn't understand while I engaged my brain.

(Hint: that was sarcasm)

On a serious note, the DA worries about R8 696 to re-advertise a tender, while the anc gives away billions on parties and to repay Cuba for fighting their war for them, that is why the anc is a FAILURE and the DA is not.

It's a pity the draft was made public. I would like to know how the Public Protector came to the conclusion, if in deed what the DA has stated is true, that a special adviser being involved in the evaluation process is unlawful. If some minor legislation is found to support the Public Protector how can this be corruption as, even when pointed out and after much searching, the DA couldn't find a single law that agrees with her position?

There is also no law to prevent me cheating at golf, but it wouldn't help the image of the club or its members.

A member of the committee, was on social terms with one of the bidders. Do we need another reason to call it invalid? What was HZ's special advisor doing on a government committee in any case?

Zille has some cleaning up to do again. Gerber, Coetzee and Davis potentially facing the chop.
I heard some of the above had already left, so obviously the DA had a preview some months back.
