There are people with vested interest. Bob is not the King that you think he is, he is a Pon, there are Generals behind who scenes who are Kings, Queens, Bishops, Knights and Rooks.

news24 - the financial issue in Zimbabwe is a symptom of political failure, not the other way around. Therefore any cash injection into Zim merely treats a symptom and not the cause, so it's ultimately pointless. On a humanitarian front it might save one or two people (IF, and that's a big if) the cash even reaches those it was intended for, however it merely delays the inevitable collapse of the country as a whole. The people of Zim would be better off with that collapse sooner rather than later. I would have no issue with direct investment as long as ZanuPF are removed from any political influence entirely. Until then though, no financial aid should come out of our pockets in the least little bit imo. It merely funds more Hong Kong trips for Mad Bob and Mrs Ungraceful herself...

SA gov is not going to give Zim $5 billion, even if they did, it would not be a giveaway package, it would be a creditline.

Still i say give the people that pay the tax the vote.....
