Zim talks end in stalemate

Did you catch Mad uncle Bob and his chommy T'bone both fast asleep at the "Talks".
On the news earlier this evening. I nearly wet myself.
This whole thing is like a school play produced by a school for kindergarden mentally handicapped children. The future sure looks bleak!!

One really didn't have to guess that tis would happen, Bob will near give up his power or even share it with another party.

more importantly, from the same article:

In other business, the 14-member Southern African Development Community (Sadc) agreed to launch a regional trade zone aimed at eliminating import tariffs, with plans for a common currency by 2018.

Zimbabwe is among a majority of Sadc countries who will participate in the trade zone. Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo did not join up immediately.

What will this do to our currency?
Who the hell do these people think that they are that they can do this? How many stable countries are there in SADC, how many stable currencies are there in SADC? Why can we never compare ourselves to 1st world countries and continents but these people think that we can still follow their lead??

Regarding Zimbabwe, ya no one saw that coming....

Not to worry, you will get to pay import duties when you import from the west :p

Everyone is holding their breath for the 'deal'.

Even if there is a signed deal, it won't necessarily change anything. Mugabe doesn't play by the rules. What makes everyone think he would actually honor a deal he signed?

And after the sham of the last 'election' - he knows very well that his SADC and AU peers aren't going to do anything - except ask him to talk to the opposition.

As long as Mugabe breathes, there will be no agreement/peaceful solution in Zim, and when he finally pulls his lst breath, there will be a coup/power struggle and even maybe a war, because all his crazed and blood thirsty deputies will want in, and to not lose their current positions.

Watch Zimbabwe to see the future of South Africa. Only difference is it will be a lot worse here.

Nah, I don't think it will be a lot worse here. I really don't think it can get any worse than in Zimbabwe, but as bad perhaps? :D

I hope you are right and that I never have to say, I told you so.

It wil be bad, just in a different way.

Whether it will be as bad, more, or less is debatable.

Now that I think about it, one thing Zimbabwe prides itself in is that they are not violent. (the public, not the brutal Zuna PF monkeys)

Not so sure how peaceful the public will be here if the country slips further into anarchy...

That is exactly what I'm getting at. You would have to go a long way to find a more vengeful, bloodthisty bunch of savages than we have in this country.

How does a country suffer that badly while not at war?

Even the other African countries have been unable to top MadBob!

Any other population in other continents would have revolted against Mad Bob and torn him to pieces, alas this being Africa it's ok as long as the leader is black.

Rest of the world doesn't give a flying **** since there is no crude oil, inhabitants are a bunch of spineless idiots, some even believing the crap that gets spewed by Mugabe and his cronies. The rain washes them, the sun dries them, and who gives a flying **** if inflation is at 11 million %, just jump the border and go invade another country and you will survive. Beats getting a gun and starting a revolution anyday.
