Zimbabwe - Next Stop, War.

The cover of The Spectator magazine in the UK, 21 June.

Act belligerently against Mugabe's sovereignty in an illegal imperialistic war for resources.

I am waiting for the day Zuma says he supports bob

China can not and will not get involved any further with Zim'.

Remember, they're already taking flak for providing Bob with arms, and other recent events in their empire have cast doubt on their near-future Olympics...

Its nice to see on UK telly (Newsnight among others) in the last few days, calls for SA to pull the plug on Zimbabwe's electricity - from folks as varied as Peter Hain as well as Tutu.

Its not pleasant to think that Eskom's electricity is being used to, among other things, help in the direct torture of people in the country next door to SA.

All China issues aside, the West is slowly moving against Zimbabwe - and now's the time the ANC have to either go against the International Community and the UN, and side with a war criminal engaged in repression and genocide,
or
'Do the right thing' and pull the plug on Zimbabwe in total sanctions.

As various folks are pointing out in US and UK media, its acceptable that the Zim people might have to endure a short term hurt, in exchange for a long term eventual genuine democracy - to do otherwise, just perpetuates the current violence, torture and insanity.

If SA doesn't firmly and clearly side with the international community and African leaders calling for Zimbabwe's total isolation, to end this rubbish - then SA is opening up a big can of worms for itself.
