Zimbabwe passes eavesdropping law

What rubbisb! How sad. That old man is still going off on a tangent to extremes which are now even above his comprehension.

His "advisers" surely pocketed some more bags of mielies for that law.
:(

Mugabe: Living proof as t why bad cartoon characters shouldnt run countries

I never thought I'd say this...but it's going to be a happy day when he finally resigns (which will probably be the day he dies ^^)

We forget that a similar law was passed right here in good old S.A about a year ago, it seems that Bob took hi queue from us this time. the law here now also makes it illegal to use *any* kind of encryption... that's why every drive, message and MMS application I use has encryption on it.

no different to being in the states....
There are vast differences between [-]sniffing at random[/-] dedicated, intrusive surveillance and having just cause backed by a warrant (dubious as it is here.) It is illegal in the states (no matter the wishes of George Bush.)

We would like to believe we at least have a smidgen of privacy.

last term

seems like this will be the last term for mugabe.:sick:

>just cause< This is the interesting one.... what exactly constitutes just cause? Pffff....

What would terrorists want to do in Zim anyway? Besides, dont they have more urgent problems to address?
That Mugabe guy has some serious brain rot...watched an interview with him the other day and it is obvious that he has some kind of mental problem, he talks and acts like some wildly psychotic retard. Very sad for the citizens of Zim (and SA).

besides privacy is just an illusion or something like, can't remember the exact quote.

international terrorism and espionage

Well thank goodness for that because if they had to include domestic terrorism and espionage they would have to lock up the government, then who would run the country!
