Does anybody have experience with the Zoom fibre networks?

It seems like they are also now laying fibre in my suburb.

We've never had fibre in our area but now it seems like there are a few fibre networks busy with installations in the area.

Never heard of them. You sure it is them laying the cable?

Friend of mine is connected with them via Home connect, he gets full speed and more so i guess they are just like any other FNO

My bad. They do exist

Openserve has been busy with fibre the last few months but letters were also handed out a month ago stating that Zoom fibre networks will be doing fibre in the area.

When I do a coverage check on the Zoomfibre website it shows that they are busy with construction in my area and fibre may be pre-ordered

There are a few ISP's that is available on their network. The prices also seem very reasonable but I don't want to commit to something and then the service is not up to standard.

My friend who is using Zoom and Home Connect, i think you'll be fine if you go with them especially if you don't have any other option, but if you do then just pick another FNO but over thinking it isn't going to help.IMG-20210926-WA0004.jpg

Been on gigabit with Zoom and Cool ideas since June. For the most part service works flawlessly, I get the maximum link speed 945down / 530up. Any time of day and it doesn't take much effort ( IE good peering)

Not too sure what is going on with them as a company though, for the past few months I've been hearing all kinds of storys about their new commercial(isp) ts and cs.

Right now I am not sure if I am going to be with cool ideas at the end of the month or they will be moving me over to their sister company because of some crap with Zoom and their isp policies.

But if it plays out how I think, I will be paying R1165pm for 1000/500 from axxess and receiving the cool ideas level of service

If I wasn't semi informed about all this, if I were the avg Joe shmo, cool ideas called me about a month ago, the call lasted about 1min and the person told me I would be moving to axxess and if I would be ok with that. I said yes, she said cool and that was that lol. That's not okay IMHO, customers need to be way more informed about this sort of behind the scenes ****ery.
