I got myself the cell c speedstick the black one (think its the mf668 or something like that) ... problem is this everytime i start windows 7, with the modem plugged into the pc (its permanently plugged into the pc) ... it just says no network in the connection manager ... i need to always run autorun again for it to pick up the deive and connect to the 3g network ... in the settings i have set it to connect automatically

After you shutdown PC, do you see light on the modem?
If yes, look in BIOS setup to remove power from USB ports when computer is shutdown. 5V standby power from power supply is not sufficient for your modem, it hangs when computer is off and stays hanging till you replug.

i cant for the life of me find the power settings for the usb's in the bios ... damn .. need to google
Have a look in the manual for your motherboard as well, it might be a jumper setting on the board itself.

If it is Dell PC, I also couldn't find solution, but I haven't got a chance to play with it any longer.
