???

At the time, ZTE South Africa CEO, Cris Fuentes said that the court case had been brought against ZTE Mzansi because it had engaged in litigation against Telkom SA without consulting the group – an action which Feuntes said was “contrary to the agreement” entered into by the partnership.

Aren't the partners now turning against each other? And why should Telkom be compromised? I'm no lawyer.

The original interdict has not been overturned yet. (ZTE Mzanzi vs Telkom).

Next week's case is ZTE HK vs ZTE Mzanzi.

Okay, makes sense, but then a matter of time.Could Telkom then not make an application to have this struck from the roll while the "two cats" fight it out.

I take it the shares are going to drop a little for TK due to this.

I predict bad news come next week :/.

SO tell me if I'm getting this right:

ZTE is the chinese supplier and the local distributor is ZTE Mzanzi. Now ZTE bypassed the local distributor and dealt directly with Telkom. So Mzanzi is pissed because they lost a cut of the profits and tried to stop the deal. Now ZTE has dropped them completely so Mzanzi will probably close doors soon.

No, ZTE is not dealing directly with Telkom.

Salivating tenderprenuers and their ways.

I see so ZTE as a whole got disqualified but Mzanzi decided to take action against Telkom.

Honour among -- the Tender Dudes

NO

The way I read it -- the SA BEE guys saw a gap to squeeze some loot out of Telkom ( blackmail )

The mother company -- that actually has the technology AND the money were not properly informed of this special SA way of doing "business"

The REAL ZTE decided that they wanted NO part of this special SA business model and decided to call it quits

Funny enough for big international companies it does their image no good to be lying down with the K9P -- and catching fleas -- does their international image a world of harm !

And the greater good of the country is once more held hostage by the greed of the tenderprenuers.

This most likely means no quick settlement in the case of ZTE Mzanzi vs Telkom. :(

But if the International company pulls out Mzanzi will quickly run out of money so the case will be dismissed.

And these days the benchmark seems to be the R 1 Billion and up.
