We are looking at getting a few ZTE MF253 units for the Biometrics at our sites. I would just like to find out does it support DynDNS on the units. as would need it so can load fingers and send through to the devices and that it can all be controlled from one location, our head office.

thanks

I was using ZTE MF283 (the more expensive version) for about six months. It has a known problem of pausing Internet during transfering files. It makes it unsuitable for video streaming or Skype. You are not interested in this, but there are many other bugs in firmware. I noticed that some services are hanging for a while or it reboots itself. When it reboots, current session statistics start from zero and monthly statistics rise unrealistically high. For typical Web user is still useful, but for VPN connection or data collection I would look for something else. There is no firmware upgrade available.

Huawei B315 has DDNS option, also [-]manual DNS[/-], so you can point it to your company DNS server for better security. R1900 @Cell C.

EDIT: Manual DNS - unfortunately is not. It applies only to the cable WAN connection, not cellular.

Does anyone know how to change the LAN IP address of these routers. It is greyed out. Can't even get in with Telnet to see if there is a way to enable the menu?

Disconnect router from WAN. It will allow you to change IP address. This is from my memory, can't verify now.
