Zuma: Affirmative action stays

I think the jobs are going to the wrong people. The guys who gets the CEO's job earning millions just so that company can improve their AA/EE/BEE ratings is jsut wrong. On the the other end of the scale you have the poor guys standing at the garage looking for work and who want to work! AA isn't going to solve this!

Now an economy that is bleeding skills to other countries thx to AA and BEE is not going to create those much needed jobs is it? The fact is for every high skilled person the economy loses 10 jobs are lost on ground level. Handouts will never save this continent.

And the other 100 tons of people that get a job and can't hold it, or will not work for under 10k a month?

If you are willing to work hard enough you will come out on top. No matter what.

I have met an architect that worked weekends for R150 (6 hours on satd and 4 on sunday) to help pay his studies. He got up at 3 in the morning to start getting ready and catch the busses/taxis to campus. He would stay there and go to class then he would stay there till around 9 at night studying. He lived in a Shack thus as you might think he prefered the classrooms to home. Bla bla bla long story short, he got 5 out of his 7 subjects with distinction. He then got a bursary, which helped him get a place closer to campus (he took his mom with), and to buy a small 2de hand car. He finnished his degree and he is a junior architect atm (he was 30 when he graduated, two years ago).

So please if you are not succeeding you are not trying hard enough. Also waiting for work is focking stupid. If I had waited to get a job I would still be waiting :rolleyes:

If you want a job you'll find a job that's basically how it goes, but AA is still not justified by apartheid or employment equality if 1 race is getting the bad end of the straw then it is racism it doesn't get more complicated then this.
