“We have indicated that we will build a better South Africa for all, through radical socio-economic transformation, ensuring that the ownership, control and management of the economy is de-racialised and is not in the hands of white compatriots only.”

"Zuma added that apartheid was a corrupt and violent system of governance which kept people in subjugation."

I want up to date stats that this is even the case currently.

Secondly, why is the economy doing so badly if the whites own, control and manage it? Cause they obviously don't control it then, it's the ANC that controls it and the ANC ain't white, is it?

You should probably not insert opinion into the title OP.

It's not opinion, Zuma has been found in court (Supreme Court of Appeal, the highest court for non-constitutional matters) to have a generally corrupt relationship with Shaik. The fact that he hasn't been prosecuted is only due to political influence...

So maybe the criminal bit is a stretch for now, but hopefully some day those eggs will hatch.

Regardless. He could say his opinion elsewhere instead of making it look like it's from the article sub-ed. It detracts from the content.

None of that is opinion. Its all factual.

Zuma is corrupt. Surely enough evidence for this, what with the Gupta emails, and previous court cases.
Zuma is a criminal. 783 charges and counting.
Zuma wants to kill the economy (quote pasted)
Zuma wants blames apartheid for corruption (quote pasted).

My opinion is that the country is F'd. I didn't write that, I kept to the facts.

How about you keep to the posting guidelines and not change the title of the article?

The rest of us are perfectly capable of forming our own opinions.

point is, the article is to be posted on it's own - without shared opinion from the poster

Careful now. Even though it's true, I'd grant you that, I take it that you're a whitey. If there is something that raises the black man's ire, it's a whitey pointing out a black person's shortcomings. A black person can do it, but dare a white person do it, then all hell breaks loose. :D

Really?

There are posting guidelines that must be followed. It would be chaotic if we start deliberately ignoring them and posting as we wish.

:wtf: Posting guidelines still applies to whiteys wanting to point a black person's shortcomings.

Zuma is right that the apartheid system was unjust. It cramped and restricted the lives of millions. It prevented breadwinners in their own country from selling their labour and educating their children how and where they wished, holding back economic and social development for millions more. Hundreds of thousands of families were split up through the migrant labour system, and millions of kids grew up without fathers and mothers in intact homes because the law prevented them from joining their parents. The personal and social devastation is very great indeed.

That is a very great injustice.

It might well explain why so many millions of South Africans are poorly formed in personal and social ethics.

But it cannot and does not excuse Zuma's corruption, nor the venal pandering of his cronies and sycophants who rob, rape and pillage the public purse for personal gain while laying waste the social and State institutions that should be protected, maintained and developed to serve the people.

Why's there some comments here about the OP not following the guidelines. From what I can see the heading is the same in the article as it is here. Am I missing something?
