Zuma bombshell – Big cabinet reshuffle

Finally gets rid of Blade. Zuma must now feel safe enough that he can act against all his detractors. Well some at least
 
Surprised that Dlamini-Zuma was not given a post as some suspected would happen.

Think he doesn't want to tip that hand JUST yet... or its not part of his long term plan.

But as some articles are saying, this is a desperation move by Jacob rather than a properly considered one.

All these shuffles in the Communications Department are really affecting so many important matters to do with telecommunications and broadcasting.

I wonder if the delay in appointing the SABC Board had anything to do with this?

And now Mahlobo is my minister.

I have a feeling that dealing with DoE is going to be even funnier than it was until now i.e. a total nightmare...

Funny how JZ has time to perform a totally non-urgent reshuffle but he is still applying his mind for months on the SABC board.
 
It looks like it. The consequences for the so-called Alliance were presumably very carefully evaluated before he did this? But then Zuma has not been known for rationally thinking through the last few cabinet re-shuffles.

Can't help wondering if all of this is to swing things his way at the internal ANC elections in December.

I don't know how they plan to do it but even if it starts today, nothing will be ready for 2019.

There seems to be a lot of incomprehension even from JZ and the government about the nuclear process, it's far from a swift process, especially since you can expect court cases after court cases (from DA, EFF, civic organizations but also from the tenderers themselves).

I doubt anything whatsoever will be paid before JZ is out of power (and the ones paying would be very stupid).

Not sure of what the real expectation is, or what the level of delusion is.
 
Re-arranging the deck chairs on the titanic mr Zuma? Guess it is to get a little more loot out before you jump on your life boat. I really hope you get what you deserve.

Level of delusion is quite high as well as level of pressure from Russia would probably be insane since I would guess some portions of a bribe have already been paid.
