Zuma bombshell – Big cabinet reshuffle

So you count using Twatter as hardworking then?

Actually that is his weakness, a good fine tuning on that front will be good, also curbing his enthusiasm a little bit, it's better to do mistakes in the course of doing your work than not doing nothing at all, which is what a lot of ministers are doing.

Hardly, he is an idiot... He is not hard working, he is purely in it for his own aggrandisement

He was crap as the sports minister, and he is proving to be just as crap as Minister of Police.

Plus he makes mistakes during the course of his work whilst doing nothing at all as well, which I suppose is a unique skill to have.

Not to mention his 680k holiday.

With the sacking of Blade, I think the EFF potentially just won themselves a massive increase in SACP votes.

Not unless the SACP decides to contest elections on their own?

The SACP lack the support to go it alone which is why Zuma can fire Blade without fear of loss of support. And he's decided to promote Buti who's been sitting at the presidency, maybe he has a play to sow division in the SACP like he did at COSATU. SACP need COSATU to contest elections, but the union federation is too divided to be a threat to the ANC.

Who is new State Security Minister Bongani Bongo?

Johannesburg - President Jacob Zuma has appointed a little known Member of Parliament (MP) from Mpumalanga to be the political head of the country’s State Security Agency (SSA). Advocate Bongani Bongo was the biggest winner in Zuma's Cabinet change - his second reshuffle in seven months - on Tuesday, as the only individual who was not previously a Cabinet minister.
He was promoted from the ANC caucus to fill the shoes of David Mahlobo, who himself has been moved to head up the energy portfolio.

When News24 contacted a senior Mpumalanga ANC leader for comment on Bongo’s appointment, he burst out laughing, saying: "Yeah neh, things happen in South Africa." The leader, who is a provincial executive committee (PEC) member, said Bongo has had a long-standing relationship with Premier David Mabuza, but the pair have had moments of conflict over the years. Bongo, who is an advocate by profession, is said to have been in the Mpumalanga ANC Youth League, but was not currently in the PEC.

The PEC member, who did not want to be named, said Bongo was known as "DD’s [Mabuza's] man". "They had a bit of a discomfort over whatever was happening at the department of human settlement in the province, where Bongo was working before he was moved to Parliament," the source said.

Bongo is said to be part of Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma’s campaign team in Mpumalanga.
