She most certainly would not...but if you are a DA supporter and think she would then you are delusional. I dont think we will ever see the death penalty in this country again..wether you are pro or against...we will have to deal with it either way.

The DA has had some pretty right-wing thoughts in the past (like wanting to change to a presidential system) and their right-wing base is growing (which is the problem you come to when you have basically two parties).

Considering that there is no evidence that the death penalty prevents serious crime, I don't understand why people lust for it so much. Just plain revenge?

Fix all the rot, poverty and corruption, and there would hardly be a need for the death penalty, presuming for sake of argument that it would even achieve anything.

What? Homosexuals cant have a hard stance when it comes to punishing murderers? We can be pretty hard core when we want to be. Hell..some of us are borderline Nazi's..but still soft as a bunny wabbit inside. :p

Hard work is a greater deterent than the death penalty. Make the f*****s work in chain gangs.

Agreed. I still think murderers should be put to death...although in a humane way....lethal injection. I am not a practicing christian..but when it comes to taking someones life...I do believe a eye for a eye and a tooth for a tooth. Klaar gepraat. ;)

Mistakes have been made, and mistakes always will be made, there's nothing more to be said, from a moral point of view, in my opinion.

But ya, this is an utterly pointless argument, as we both know.

You see. The problem is not that homosexuals can't be mean, I know that full well. My point was that the same progressive world-view that has come to respect the value of life of another human being, also brought about the freedom of sexual orientation.

Indeed. And I am thankful for that. But this is my personal view...and besides...you cant compare being a homosexual to being a murderer. When you take someones life on purposes then you should loose the right to your own.

This - hard labour turn prsions into slave camps or factorys imagine prisons being profitable, if they work hard they get a bed and meat for dinner.

It's also about as morally justified as execution, even worse because all criminals would have to do it.
