First Phase..
Overhaul the 'Justice System' and place 'Zuma Friendly Judges' in the Courts (Everyone fails to see that ALL the judges in SA are appointed BY THE STATE!)

Second Phase, Place Zuma yes-men in the Constitutional court

Phase 3 , Change Constitution

Phase 4, Dictatorship can commence....

I am already of the opinion that is it far from ideal, so am in agreement with the article per se, but am open to alternative views.

I really want to understand why the majority of the people in this democracy believe that this is good. If they did not these folks would not be in powerful positions.

So my statement is more a plea to the majority to help me understand their thinking a bit better.

Perhaps Mrs Mbeki senior is correct and we are in fact heading right down the path of anarchy with the criminals in control!
 
Zuma is one thing... I am more worried that they're promoting a convicted criminal into the highest levels of the party and more than likely then into guavamint. Yengeni should NEVER be allowed back into politics.

I was under the impression that a person with a criminal record is not allowed to serve in parliament etcetc...

IMO, this NWC will count on the people that have not had the skills to take advantadge of opportunities presented. However once in power they will change tune. Everyone remember Bhazima Shilowa? It was Sam back in the day, when he made the turnaround from unionist to what he is today. Look for much of the same with this bunch.

That is why the majority will vote for them, and nothing much will change. If they do increase focus on Education, and a quality one at that, in their 10 years in office, I would say job well done. Till then, it is going to be fun to see how the power games shake out.

This is why I love politics. When one administration moves out and a new one comes in.

You're right. Can't remember exactly what it is, but if you are convicted and you sentence includes a jail term of greater than X months, you cannot serve in parliament.

Coincidentally, Yengeni's sentence was just fractionally below that cut off. :rolleyes:

Now i remember the papers writing about him getting parole shortly before his sentence was too long for him ever to serve in parliament.

Of course he has broken his parole MANY MANY times since then, but hey who cares except the rank and file population.

Errr, what's changed? The make up of the national working committee of the ANC after their recent elections?
 
I wondered just how many people are going to emigrate after JZ comes into power.
 
I'm already having a little conversation with the Canadian embassy. Apparently I may be elligible for a work visa without needing a job first (though one would be nice).

lots of skilled people ,not the ones that can go nowhere.Why beacuase we are not "proudly South african.No Ithink because we dont trust africans .Why ?Look at their track record and lack of motivation to better standards and of inceasing capacity of an economy.

Effects will be felt in around 5 years or so.Look at eskom or the education system if you dont beleive me.I asked I zim car guard the other day if he thought there was a placef or whites in africa.He said to me he would not be in sa if the whites were not kicked out of zim.he said we had at least food before and now we have nothing when the whites left.Take any view point africans dont understand thevalue of skilled people ion an ecomomy.they can only see the polotical agendas where common sense does not prevail

taking a leftist appraoch.Thats whats changed.Do u think forign investors who are funding our Current account Deficit like the left.No they wants a free market.China is only prospering after communism. are We going to prove to the world once and for all that socialism does not work even though anyone with an room temp IQ could tell you that

I also need to have a chat with them. Canada is my first choice for emigration destination. Where is the Canadian embassy anyway?

What about australia ,lifestyle is similar.Sunshine!!!!

Frankly us and aussie very similar people in some ways as both originate from Britian.They just little more cocky than we are due to used to be convicts and I think we are tougher and quite hardcore cause having to deal with all the K@K in africa
