MTN launches new Sky and Talk packages
MTN has unveiled two new sets of packages under the MTN Sky and My MTNChoice+ Talk banners.
According to Tariffic, the move by MTN is aimed at competing against similar offerings from Vodacom, Cell C, and Telkom.
The Sky packages come in three versions, each with a different amount of inclusive data and minutes, and play in the “unlimited” contract space.
- Sky Lite – 3GB pm / 120 minutes per day
- Sky Medium – 15GB pm / 150 minutes per day
- Sky Max – 25GB pm / 250 minutes per day

MTN also released three new variants of its MTNChoice+ packages: Talk S, Talk M, and Talk L.
“These packages are comparable to the regular My MTNChoice+ packages, however the new Talk packages come with more voice minutes, less data, and are cheaper,” said Tariffic.
“MTN’s packages are hardly revolutionary, and although they will benefit customers whose specific usage will necessitate these exact packages, they are not shifting the market forward in any meaningful way.”
