Vodacom data special price comparison
Vodacom launched two new data deals on 7 November 2012 – a 5GB for R389 product and a 10GB for R689 bundle.
The new Vodacom data bundles are available on top-up and standard broadband 24-month contracts, and do not include any device.
Vodacom is competing against MTN, 8ta, and Cell C for market share in the South African mobile data environment, raising the question as to how the new promotions stack up against competitors.
Cell C recently launched its Giga 20 data promotion; a 12-month contract deal which provides subscribers with 5GB peak data and 15GB off-peak data at R189 per month.
8ta is also still running its 10GB data promotion for R199 per month, which is offering customers a very low in-bundle per-GB rate.
