DStv SABC outage

DStv subscribers took to Facebook, Twitter, and other online forums to voice their displeasure at not being able to watch SABC channels on Friday (11 April 2014) evening.
According to reports, the outage affected subscribers all over South Africa.
SABC 1, 2, 3, and the SABC News channels on DStv were all unavailable for the duration of the blackout.
Shortly after 19:00 on Friday subscribers began reporting that some of the channels were becoming available again.
Asked about the outage, a spokesperson for MultiChoice said that the feed from the SABC failed on Friday evening.
“We rerouted the feed and all SABC channels have since been restored,” MultiChoice said. “Apologies to our customers for this interruption in their viewing.”
