Cellfind and Cell C have partnered to deliver Cell C MiAssist, a mobile application which gives subscribers access to emergency services at the touch of a button.

The service is provided by Cell C and is available as a mobile application on iOS and Android.

“Available at R45/month for Cell C contract customers, the app provides a wide range of emergency services,” said Cell C.

A “push of a button or call” to the emergency response centre signals the need for help in the event of a medical emergency, home invasion, or car hijacking, said Cell C.

Cellfind’s location-based technology allows the caller’s cellphone to provide the location of the emergency.

Additional services

“The home assist feature helps customers deal with home emergencies and also provides a list of emergency plumbers, electricians, etc.”

“The vehicle assist service assists a stranded motorist – from changing a tyre to rescuing keys from inside a locked vehicle.”

Cell C MiAssist’s driver assist lets subscribers book a driver to drive them and their car home safely after an evening out.

“The legal assist benefit gives customers 24/7 access to qualified lawyers and legal consultants. The service also provides some basic legal documents for free.”
