8ta dual-SIM for data considered
8ta stunned the mobile broadband market last month (23 June 2011) with their a 10GB data bundle priced at R199 per month.
The cellular operator further offered a 10GB + 10GB service at R299 per month which on top of the 10GB of data offers subscribers another 10GB of data from 00:00 to 05:00.
This is the best mobile broadband deal ever in South Africa, and many consumers are taking advantage of this limited-time promotion.
On the wish list of many data subscribers is the ability to use the same data bundle on multiple devices using multiple SIM cards.
8ta Managing Executive Amith Maharaj explained that subscribers “can at the moment have a single account and have multiple SIMs attached, [but 8ta does not currently] support the sharing of services such as data across multiple SIMS. This is something that we are considering for the future.”
