8ta dual-SIM for data purposes is being considered

Vodacom supposedly also offers it... but to actually find a cellular branch that can supply you with one is an ongoing exercise in frustration! :mad:

I recently got one for the SO. Walked into the customer care branch in Canal Walk 2 weeks ago, took no more than 15 min to process.
 
DataSIM is a nice to have. At least 8ta have addressed one of the biggest issues with post paid contract from the start namely the OOB shark.

Beat you on that one, took one email which took about 2 minutes typing, and then a few hours to wait to become active - but I must confess, I already had a suitable SIM :D (Also a Vodacom contract)
 
Can the 8ta Internet 5 (10GB) do voice?
eg install it in an Android Phone.

My Q is based on my understanding that the Internet5 SIM is locked to 8ta base stations (all +/-1000), whereas normal 8ta will roam on MTN.
For data only, being locked is less of a problem and expected.
For voice, I would like to roam.

Found the answer - looks like a NO - T&C Voice services are disabled.

Why not just use Advanced? OOB=IB.

BTW, you can have up to 5 Data-SIMs on one bundle.
 
Can one get multiple data-sims on prepaid, or only on contract?
