Haha.

I don't mind cooking them - as mentioned you can butterfly them a little and add all kinds of spices for different tastes. Will be buying those from now on as well and see how that goes cost wise.

Buy the bulk packs from PnP, before Sunday braai soak them in Castle Lager Peri Peri sauce, on the braai crispy on the outside and tender within.
Pop in freezer for Chicken Salad lunches and snacks......yummy.

They seem to be cheapest at checkers.
Under R60 per Kg if I remember correctly.

I find Checkers to be watery?
they inject that krap saline solution or something, cant be good for humans.
Spar has the best tasting Chicken but pricey, grilled some free range birdies and they were nice.

This is common knowledge for chicken imported from Brazil...they inject the chicken with a brine mixture on SA side to increase the weight.

Yes the frozen chicken that were re-packaged.
Please provide me with proof that the fresh chicken breasts are injected?
If it is so, then checkers will not see my money again, but i will not decide on hearsay.

well I'm not going to take the time looking for links, because I really don't care.

no links from me and not saying I confirm it, but i would reckon most super markets and their respective suppliers are pumping up the volumes

For deadlifts, when is it acceptable to drop the weight? Only when you going for a 1 rep max and the floor & gym allows it? :p
Like this lovely crossfit lady: Jeannie Bassi DeadLifts Twice Her Body Weight

On the topic of chicken, in the past when i gave in to laziness I would buy a Woolies rotisserie chicken. Hardly do so anymore as they either started to make them saltier and filled with all kinds of cr@p or I got less tolerant of the saltiness and tonnes of butter they probably put in there.

I started with stronglifts week 1 today, workout B. Did double the amount of reps because squats and overhead press were with the bar only. Deadlifts did my usual 5x5 at bodyweight though it was only meant to be 40kg and 1 set of 5 reps if sticking to the programme.

ryan411, the first few weeks on Stronglifts will be super easy. Use this time to make sure you learn the small technicalities of the lifts to do them 100% correct, ie with good form. When you get close to your initial maxes, you will be happy you did, because when the lifts get heavy, it is when the small technicalities are important, to a) prevent injury b) make it easier to still progress

I am talking from experience, because initially I just went through the motions, and when I hit my first maxes, progress very quickly stalled, and I had to spend time on the technicalities instead of working on going heavier. Hell I am still working on technicalities, these lifts are damned difficult when you start going heavy and need to tweak every bit to perfection to go heavier.
