Business ADSL with GSM failover from IS

GSM failover?? I think they mean UMTS/WCDMA failover. i.e. 3G / HSDPA

GSM = GPRS + Edge. I wouldn't call that failover, I'd call it FAIL.
 
Yeah it is to 3G. I'd call it an Epic fail. FYI - Other ISP's have been using the solution since 2007.

Mweb has been offering failover solutions from ADSL to UMTS/3G, Iburst, etc since forever
They offer this with a Billion Router as well as with Cisco Routers

Do you perhaps mean you copied the solution from them?

What the article didn't mention was the cost per MB

Data Cost (per MB)
Vodacom R0.80
MTN R0.70

So on Vodacom they will charge you R812 per GB ... and R760 for MTN...damn that is a lot...
P.S. that is Ex Vat.

Out of interest does MWeb also failover to the same Static IP? This is an important requirement for many companies. I'm just wondering what other options / competition is out there.

GSM is the generic name for the technology

GSM (Global System for Mobile communications: originally from Groupe Spécial Mobile)
