One youtube video and you have reached your cap, what a ripoff, they could have at least made it 500MB.

not easy

setting up the mail (mweb account) on this is nothing but easy. and mweb also did not now how to. using adsl or 3G. pop3 or IMAP. after +- 30min, we were able to setup the linkbook emails.

And how long did it take you to do this post?

I've not used the Linkbook but it is LINUX not Windows!!!!! How hard is it to setup your email client.

POP3 vs IMAP depends on your email address, got nothing to do with an apps limitations to start off with. Then 3G or ADSL, once again that is seperate unless you got ports blocked by your ISP.

Discovered something very strange:
http://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/Hundreds-gather-for-Jackson-funeral-20100510 <- "He was an ace, I knew him for years," said a man who identified himself as Marc Levy.
http://mybroadband.co.za/news/hardware/12335-Vodacom-unveils-its-Linkbook.html <- "Linkbook is an idea whose time has come," says Mark Levy, co-founder of Linkbook.

Mark Levy seems like a really popular kind of guy.

Did you read further?

He is also an owner of strip clubs around the world.

Haha might explain his popularity :)

So, the machine is R40 per month. Multiply by 24 = R960- the same price as one of those 3g usb modems. In other words, you buy a usb modem and get the machine for free! Now add a 300mb bolt-on from Vodacom at R159 a month and you end up paying R199. Is something wrong with this picture?

If this is the same person - then he is getting to the broadband of strip clubs - charging per mb - each girl view will consume an average 150MB of data (HiDef)- so viewing 2 girls per month will cost R 159 + the monthly cover charge of R 40 equates to R 199 .. clever business idea - R 199 a pop for 2 girls per month.... :) better business model than owning strip clubs :)

just hope it is not the same guy....

This actually looks quite cool.. for taking along and not lugging your whole laptop with etc...

it will last until you finish your 300MB then you will need to recharge it ... which should not be very long if you can achieve the upto 3G speeds advertised.
if you desperate to waste money use it completely on 3G ... otherwise get this unit and hook up MWEB Uncapped ADSL Solution .... and ace you away ....

Dont see wi fi ... so seems there is no other way of getting stuff on it than 3g

It has USB . . so flash drive could work.. cant get specs on capacity ?
