File Menu tab
Open file list (If you have File list saved on exit ticked), you can open users file list previously opened.
Open Own list ( Cntrl - O )
Opens your list, with all relevant folders/files you have shared. VIP to know how to MAGNET LINK a file for someone.
Match Downloaded Lists
Matches lists you have downloaded for files that are the same
Refresh File List ( Cntrl - E )
Used while hashing, or after hashing a new file to your share. Users will see the new file, when they browse or download your list.
Open Downloads Dir. ( Cntrl - Z )
Opens the default Dir that Apex, downloads to.
Quick Connect - to enter a hub address thehub.activedns.co.za:465 if not try 412/ 443 / 6666 / 3128
Follow Last Direct - follows last hub address you joined.
Reconnect - Useful tab to reconnect to the hub if you disconnected from it.
General - Nick / Email / Description (Pls fill in hours pc can be connected if limited use, line speed etc)
Tick Show Bandwidth Limit In description.
FILE > SETTINGS > CONNECTION
Select Firewall With Manual Port Forwarding
Bind Address I.P is 0.0.0.0
Below that is TCP – (The port no. u forward in router on tcp should be entered here)
Below that is UDP - (The port no. u forward in router on udp should be entered here)
Below that Is TLS - (This is a secure Port Protocol Leave it as 0)
Below that Is DHT/UDP - (Leave this on 0 as well)
Wan I.P - Leave Blank
Outgoing Connection - on Direct Connect
Connection Settings - Refer to http://www.circle-of-fire.co.za or ask a staff member for assistance.

Limits – Set max simultaneous files, max downloads, highest priority slots, and a limit as to when new downloads start if speed exceeds x amount
QUEUE
Set highest priority size files etc
Segment Downloading
Auto search TTH sources - Tick the box
Don’t Begin new Segment if speed = 512kibs – Tick the box
Tick - Enable segmented downloading
Tick - Use anti fragmentation method
Tick - Use Auto Priority
Tick - Overlap small chunks by faster user
SHARING
Select all the data, you would like to share on the hub, Excess of 40Gb Plus
Remember it doesn't take any bandwidth to index files, so please hash all the files, you can.
Please DO NOT share any program files, installed game files, dvd vob files etc.
Please DO NOT share any personal files Documents/Bank Statement / Personal Photo's Home Made Vid's etc
Auto Refresh Time - Change to 5mins so new files you add are auto updated to yr file list.
UPLOAD SLOTS - As per site rules – (384k – 1 slot)
4meg – 2/3 Slots
APPEARANCE - Customize
Tab Highlight
Useful for pm's highlights the tab, showing a new message
Colours and Fonts
Customize your apex, assigning diff user classes diff colours
Import a theme, and change the whole colour set http://www.apexdc.net/customise/
Windows Tab under Appearance
Most important option is right at the bottom - TABS POSITION ON TOP (Easier to see Pm's Hub Tabs etc)
In the top box options, tick - Auto Open Favourite Hubs At Start up
ADVANCED
Main Tab - All of these options are ticked in my Apexdc++ - Leave all others unticked
Auto follow redirects
Clear search box after each search
Remove forbidden (Unfinished kazaa.. etc)
Install Url Handler on start up
Install Magnet Url handler on start up
Don’t del file lists when exiting (Saves user lists so you can open list without having to download the entire list each time)
Don’t Auto Disconnect Favourite user
Don’t send the away message to bots
Enable safe and compressed transfers
Accept custom user commands from hub
Use Cntr L for line history
Ask for Magnet Action
Use fast hashing method
Save settings window state
Auto switch Search type to TTH
WINAMP/AUDIO PLAYER ANNOUNCE
Customize your announce of what track is playing in your winamp “other player" eg Bob is rocking to Coldplay - Trouble at 128kbps
For other players to announce in the main chat, you need the media player plug-in.

Latest plugins that are compatible with ApexDC++ 1.3.2 & 1.3.3 can be downloaded from http://www.quickshare.co.za/files/i58nkquf/Mediaplayer_plugin_V1.3.6.rar
Installing these plugins, allows you to announce the song you are playing in the main chat, as well as allow the control of specified media players direct in Apexdc++ via a media toolbar:
Media players supported and tested is as follows:
1. Native windows media player v9+
2. Foobar2000_v1.0.1 with added foo_winamp_spam.dll-plugin(this will emulate it as winamp)
3. Winamp
4. The KM Player (extra notes below)
Plugin required - MediaPlayers.dll
Available in both 32bit and 64bit.
Extract files to ApexDC++ install folder (win7(x64):C:\Program Files\ApexDC++\)
After extracting the plugins, install them : Settings > Plugins
Extra notes:
For Foobar, install the appropriate plugin (in apex share folder from PHROZIN). Use winamp settings - foobar plugin emulates this.
If plugin is installed correctly you will now have a Media Player Plugin.
Click on it and select the 'config' tab.
In settings you will get 3 players that u can use and announce what you are listening to.
There is an extra setting 'Media Bar Settings' - tick to get the media toolbar in Apex and select your player (foobar users please select winamp if you have the 'foo_winamp_spam.dll' plugin installed in your Foobar player (see notes under foobar folder).
KM Player (additional settings)
VIP note - when you install KM Player, an option to “install winamp plugin” would appear. If this setting was NOT selected during install, you need to reinstall KM Player and select the winamp plugin support.
In Apexdc++ - File > Settings > Advanced - winamp box, change %[title] to %[rawtitle]
Announce what you listening to, in the main chat, type /winamp or, for other players : /w or /itunes or /wmp
Experts Only Tab - Leave all as default
Bottom section
Chat double click action > Send public message (allows you to double click user in main chat to direct chat at them)
LOGS - You can log private chats or filelist transfers etc
LIMITS - Not advisable but if you have to play online game etc, limit your speed
ALL OTHER Settings leave as default
VIEW TAB
Fav Hubs - Circle of fire should be listed here, with a tick next to it
Fav Users - Add users to your fav. They will bypass queue of people waiting for a file from you
Indexing Progress - Shows how far your hash is completed
Search - Search all users shares for files you looking for (Cntrl - S)
Search Spy - See what others search for. For best results leave enabled for awhile
TRANSFERS
Select your Download Queue, Upload Queue, Finished Downloads, Finished Uploads
You can also stop downloads within each relevant tab, using right click menu
HUB ICONS TABS ETC
Public Hubs - Any Public Hubs Listed Here (Ignore)
Reconnect - Reconnect to the Hub
Fav Hub (Gold Star) - Add Circle Of Fire < thehub.activedns.co.za:412 > as a favourite Hub
Fav Users - Add fav users to list (This will bypass the limits set by queue)
Recent Hubs - Displays list of all recent hubs
The Queue Icons - For Download / Upload / Completes
The Magnifying Glass Icons - Search in the hub for file
Icon with man - Set your status to away or present on the hub
Hub Commands entered in Main chat
/r - shows your personal ratio on the hub
/w - shows the song you currently listening to
/g and search string - opens browser and search with google
/h - shows you the commands available to you
/i imdbq (where imdbq is name of the movie or series) - search from IMDB database
/showjoins - enable/disable show joins & parts in mainchat
/away msg (where msg is your personal message) - enable/disable away mode
/ut - Shows Hub Uptime
/stats – Shows your stats Your Pc uptime etc
HOW TO ADD A NEW RELEASE
File > Open Own List (A folder listing of your files will open)
In folder on the left find file you want to post a new release of. In right hand window, right click file and select copy > select copy magnet link to Clipboard.
In main chat tab and right click The Hub Tab. Select User Commands
Select DaemonKnight and a new menu will pop up. Select Get Req/Release Command.
A message in main chat will state Req Commands been sent to Client.
Right Click The Hub Tab again and Select User Commands. At the bottom below DaemonKnight, select Request/Releases. Select Add New Release - pop up will give options as to what type of release. Select type and box will open where you paste your magnet link copied earlier.
Done
Please rename the files you are releasing with the Int. Standard Release Name
