New channel for DStv Compact subscribers

Until I read the link I had no idea that the channel could also be watched in Zulu.

I am guessing you just need to use the 'Language' function on the remote? Sort of like the way we dubbed English programs in Afrikaans back in the old SA.

I doubt that this is a reason to pull more subscribers? I get the impression that DSTV is quite happy to dump channels into their cheap bouquets, which have little or no viewership.

OH WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!! Am SOOOOOOO excited! DStv REALLY is trying to give me value for my money!!!!!!!1 Not.
FAIL, you morons....

Listen, I get that people are fed up with the lack of decent content, especially on the cheaper bouquets but it really irks me that every time MC do anything to improve the existing packages, there are people who sarcastically point out that it's not enough.
Granted, they could be doing more to improve their value vs money offerings but in all fairness, they could also be doing less.

The road may be slow and treacherous but it's only fair to give them a decent chance. They're also new to the multi-provider environment we currently have and they're trying to figure out how best to maintain and/or grow their client-base while still making a decent amount of profit. (They are a business after all.)
I'm against the MC that screwed us for the last 10 years or so and I'm all for TTV but I also believe that blurting out random insults on every available medium doesn't help the cause much.
The world of pay-tv in South Africa is changing at a rapid place. Although we've given MC countless chances to change in the past, why not relax for a while and give them just one more?
They may just end up surprising us.

Why?! If you can't see that these steps are heading nowhere, then I dunno...
I may not believe that it's really going to change but I'm prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt for now. I no longer subscribe to DSTV so in essence, I've hit them where it hurts. Hopefully if more people follow suit, it will grease the wheels in our favour.

Hmm, I see your point. I just wish I could see some sign of intelligent thinking going on. I've watched some of the new channels that have been added, and the content is truly rubbish. Personally I'd be offended if I was told that channel/s was/were directed at me on purpose, because it would mean people thought I was stupid and had no taste. They honestly just seem to be scrambling around in the dark, with no real direction, adding rubbish and apparently thinking we're going to bow down and say thanks. I'm certain, for example, that a large amount of what has been added as new channels could have been added to existing channels to boost their content and reduce repeats? And heck, I think 99% of us here can come up with suggestions on which channels (like Parliament!) could be dropped to possibly increase quality of remaining channels. Those sort of moves would indicate thought to me, but what's happening at present...urk. But well, let's see what happens once TT addss new stuff to their offerings, and the other new pay TV operator comes oonline in October?

why not relax for a while and give them just one more?

If most ppl wish to ridicule Multichoice then let them. It is not your place to make them think like you.

...and the other new pay TV operator comes oonline in October?
Ooooo, really? Who and when? I must have missed it.
I know of Super5media (or something like that) or are they the ones you're referring to?

Oh, you mean kinda like the fact that it's not your place to make me think like you either? Oh the irony.

That name doesn't ring a bell...certain it was a shorter one. I migt be wrong, I remember reading it in a comment relating to TT adding new channels around that time of the year. Possibly the person writing had it wrong. Will go see if I can find the article.

Awesome. I'd like to find out more.

Annoying isn't it? Now go pay your subs.
Um, you obviously missed the point where I was being sarcastic. But nevermind, intelligent witticisms aren't for everybody.

They're just making up the numbers. Makes Compact look superior when they make pretty charts.
