i am having a pweird problem with Photoshop CS3 on my Mac. Everytime I try open an image file it freezes photoshop. I have tried the following but still have not been able to resolve it:

Deleted preference file

Re-installed Photoshop (used AppClean to delete all the associated files).

I created a new user, and opened an image file with Photoshop, and it all worked fine.

So it is definitely associated with the user and not the system. But I cannot seem to find what else/file needs to be removed/repaired to solve the problem.

Last resort will be to create a new user, but would rather know if there is something else I can try first before going that route.
