MTN 100% mahala call and SMS discounts back for life

Charges u R2.50 per min I never seen 100% discount on calls the most I seen is 10%. To get a 100% u must live in timbucktoo and call timbucktoo.

Bwahahaha, almost fell off my chair! It is obviously the threat of more competition that has brought this change of "heart".
 
This is a hoax... But in all fairness, "up to" means exactly that. I would love to see a map on the web indicating where/when 100% "mahala" is applicable

What utter rubbish - they can start by creating a Customer Service Department, based on my experience they don't have such a facility.
 
Yoh. Is today national whining day or something? A discount for some people in some locations is an improvement over no discount anywhere.
 
Seriously what is the scheme here(Lure more customers) - I prefer night shift from Vodacom - their product actually works with Zero Airtime :)

I am not a MTN customer but is this a way to lure more customers on their network - I am sure the ones who will benefit are those living in the location(It is a fact)cause when vodacom had a similar offer it would only work in the location 99% off.

Also many factors need to be taken into consideration How many users are using the base station at a certain time etc (would be nice having a list on MTN website) even if it changes.

I don't believe in promotions always a catch
 
Well I'm on a Top Up 200 contract and it is available for me. I currently have 90% for MTN to MTN and 75% for MTN to other. So at R0.75 per minute if I call others or R0.25 if I call a MTN number I would say its pretty decent that its here for life now. Over weekends and at night you will get the most discount. During peak time not so much but still below other networks pricing.

BTW. People switch to MTN Top Up. Its cheaper gives you the same features as normal Anytime contract with the exact same phone as the anytime contracts.

I got the HTC Desire for R340 on topup 200 and the lady asked me if I wanted the top up or normal anytime. Its best to go to a MTN store and migrate. Its easy and usually free if you take the same level Top Up contract.

Ohh and another advatage is there won't be a shocker of a bill with the R2.5 anytime rate.


EDIT: People complain about MTN but what does vodacom give you? They give ****ty 3G coverage and basically NO EDGE + the massive pay in for contracts if you want any kind of decent phone. God forbid people use that ****ing useless network.

I normaly get 100% on Mtn zone after midnight though, which kinda sucks cause most people are already sleeping by then
 
cheers for this cavedog. I can upgrade from early Decdember 2010, will be taking the BringYourOwn Phone option at R99 for R200 plus 25 free sms. Does MTN offer you the option to getter better rates when you phone Friends and Family?

Again with the prepaid only! MTN is customer centric until you have a contract with them.

Just because you are profit centric and your profit comes from customers, it does not mean you are customer centric.
 
I've had a better experience with mtn than vodacom, been waiting for cell c to raise their game for a long time, might just happen soon
